[Squirrel-sql-users] Unable to Disable Auto-Commit

I've just installed Squirrel 3.1.2 on a machine running Slackware 13.1 with
MySQL using the Java JDBC from MySQL version 5.1.13. I'm up and running and
everything looks good but I can't disable auto-commits, even when toggling
the auto-commit option in the session properties.

Any ideas?
