Changing tables in the object tree should revert back to
non-editable mode unless you've got "Editable Table"
selected in the Table Contents dropdown. However it would be
nice to be able to turn it off without changing the
    currently selected table.

To be able to get out of the editing mode w/o changing a
table would be really good. With big tables getting the
contents of a table takes quite some time.

When I have to modify production data, I can't stay in edit
mode hoping it I just won't make a mistake and mess up the
data. It's easy since there is no update confirmation.

A new right-click menu item called "Undo Make Editable" has
been added. It only shows up if you have previously used
the "Make Editable" command. Selecting "Undo Make Editable"
reverts to the mode selected in the Session Properties.
