There might be Swing limitations that affect this RFE.
Since there is only 1 sql window I often have the area
littered with multiple sql statements and highlight the
one I want and run it. to run multiple I hilight the 2
or more statements and the both execute. The problem is
when they are not in sequential order. Swind (and most
apps) can't select multiple blocks of text (using the
CTRL key) Word XP and other apps can do this. Is there
any way we can get this done?
One workaround if Swing can't do this (i looked at the
Swing APIs and didnt see anything that sounded like
what I was looking for) is to have a way to highlite
text and mark it say with a yellow background color
using a "HighLite" button. at execution only blocks
with the yellow background would execute. An
"UnHighLite" button would also be needed. This would be
useful even for one block because the user would easily
be able to run such a selected block without having to
re select the text the way its required today
(obviously if no text editing was done you could keep
rerunning it because it remained selected)
