Hello,
My organization is evaluating SQuirreL for inclusion into our application baseline. Part of the evaluation is an individual’s ability to navigate the GUI without a mouse and receive verbal instructions via JAWS. Our testers found three primary issues.
SQuirreL version being test 3.7.1
Expected result: All user interface elements are expected to be accessible via the keyboard. In this instance the radio buttons, buttons, text box and check box are expected to be accessible via the keyboard.
Note: This defect may exist elsewhere within the application.
Expected result: All labels are expected to be announced by JAWS. In this instance, JAWS is expected to announce “Appearance, Main Tabs: group box combo box closed Top 1 of 4 to change the selection use the arrow keys”.
Note: This defect also exists elsewhere within the application.
Within the “SQuirreL SQL Client Plugin Summary” window, the identity of the “Load At Startup” checkboxes is not announced by JAWS. As an example when the checkbox in column 1, row 1 is accessed JAWS announces, “Column 1 Row 1 Load At Startup True” instead of announcing the checkbox as, “Column 1 Row 1 Load At Startup checkbox checked”.
Expected result: Expected result: The identity of all user interface elements is expected to be announced by JAWS. In this instance JAWS is expected to announce, “Column 1 Row 1 Load At Startup checkbox checked”.
