Often, when I work on SQL statements with SQuirreL I get bitten because it does not clean the list of results when a new SQL statement is executed and fails. I often overlook the error-message because it is in the smaller lower panel and not in the large middle panel. this way I think the SQL succeeded and I only notice some time later.
Therefore I would like to have one of the following changes or options:
1. send SQL error information to the same pane as the SQL Results, so it is clear when the SQL statement failed
2. somehow indicate in the results pane that these are not the actual results of the last tried SQL any more, i.e. by coloring, graying out, ...
3. simply clean the pane before executing a SQL so it stays empty when the SQL fails
I see that previous results are often useful when creating the next SQL statement, e.g. table information, working on previous results, ... so option 2 would be very nice.
