I am unable to view CLOB/Blob data types for oracle
through the SQL Client 1.1 beta. It just
says "<Unknown>". Please consider adding support for
these data types..

i don't think that showing blobs are very usefull
but i believe that clobs (longvarchar?) is displayed now.

Please tell me what java.sql.Types.XXXXX it is that is a
clob and that you want to display.

If 1.1beta2 is out please try it again.

One of the things I am thinking of for the future would be
trying to display images etc. that are stored in blob columns.

I was thinking of a dropdown with "View as image", etc. in
it. Need to be able to register new viewers as well.

1.1beta5 will show binary, varbinary, longvarbinary, clob
and blob as text if requested.

What about setting Clobs/Images? Just let the user select a
local file to "upload" into it. That covers pretty much any
    case.

Clob support is now reasonably mature in 1.2beta5.
