I have a CLOB (in both Oracle and H2) which is 700kB size XML data all saved as a single line XML.

If I do the following

1. select clobdata from sampletable;

2 double click on the CLOB field to display the data in a separate dialog window

Expected result a dialog displayed without delay

Actual result: a dialog with the value is displayed only after about a minute long delay
