I'm issuing a simple query from a small table. If the box
Limit Rows 100 and hit Run, Squirel says "Building
output..." and stays like this forever. Cancel has no
effect. The session window doesn't want to close.
Squirrel freezes. The same querry works fine (even if
repeated several times!) if the limit-rows box isn't
checked.

It's Squirel 1.1beta5. Database is ASE 12.0.0.3. Driver
is jConnect 5.5.

Problem is 100% reproducable.

    Hi Stan,

Thanks for confirming this issue. It seems that there is a
problem with some versions of Sybase/JConnect where
setMaxRows will lock up the JDBC connection. Theres some
    info here
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/ultradev/ts/documents/sybase_jdbc.htm

Could I ask you to do me one favour. Could you try your
queries with JConnect 4.5 and let me know if you have the
    same problem?

    Thanks
    Col

You are right, Col. With JConnect 4.5 it works fine.

Thanks for testing that. I'm going to close this bug as a
Sybase/JConnect issue rather than a Squirrel one. I'll
update the Squirrel FAQ as well.

    Thanks for your help
    Col
