No

I've just downloaded and installed Squirrel 1.1 beta 4 on
Windows NT and cannot connect to Oracle. I had no
trouble with the previous release. I have included a
dump from the DOS window.

After this I get a message window with "Unexpected
Error occured attempting to open an SQL connection."

Cheers,
Allen.

    Hi Allen,

It looks like a problem with your VM. Which Java VM are you
    using?

    Quite possible.

    C:> java -version
    java version "1.2.2"
Classic VM (build JDK-1.2.2_008, native threads, symcjit)

I am currently restricted to this version due to a requirement
    of Oracle Lite :-(

    Cheers,
    Allen.

I modified the PATH and JAVA_HOME in squirrel-sql.bat to
    jdk1.3 and it works fine.

    Thank You,
    Allen.

From 1.1 on SQuirreL requires JDK 1.3. The idea is that with
each release of SQuirreL we will support the current JDK
version (in this case 1.4) and one previous (1.3). However I
didn't realize that there were JDBC drivers out there that
    didn't work with 1.3

Oracle Lite isn't a DBMS that I've used although I use
Oracle 8.1.6. at work. I don't suppose that the standard
8.1.6. JDBC driver suports Oracle Lite?

    Col
