I'm having trouble reproducing the problem. Here is what
    I tried:

    Test #1

    1. Click on the SQL tab
    2. Type in some statements
    3. Click on the "Save editor contents to a new file" icon
    4. Choose a file, but click "Cancel".
    5. File chooser dialog disappears and statements remain

    Test #2

    1. Click on the SQL tab
    2. Click on "Open a file" icon
    3. Choose a file and click "Open" button
    4. Click on the "Save editor contents to a new file" icon
    5. Choose a different file, but click the "Cancel" button
    6. The original file and contents remain in the entry panel

Can you post the exact steps that you followed to
reproduce the problem that you saw?

OK, Im try to put more details:

1 - In the Aliases, I choose any connection,
2 - switch to the SQL tab,
3 - Enter some information: "select * from etc",
4 - Click in save and type the name (test.sql),
5 - Close the BD Connection e reopen,
6 - Click in "Save As" icon ("Save Editor content in a new
    file"),
    7 - I pick the test.sql file,
8 - In the message: "already exists, do you want to replace
    it?" I choose "NO" option,
9 - The blank content has wrote on file and I lost it. The
    same way to the "Yes".

    Thanks for the help

    Paulo

Ahh yes, I was missing the "replace existing file" step.
I see the problem now. Thanks for the report. We'll
    get it fixed soon.

This issue is fixed in CVS. It will be available in the
next release of SQuirreL (2.2 RC1). We plan to create this
    release on 3/18/2006.
