When I double click the app after install (installation is painful and requires a console, BTW?), it just does nothing, nothing shows up.

    Please open your launcher script (either squirrel-sql-mac.sh or squirrel-sql.sh) and search for the string "# CHANGE_HERE". Possibly this will help you fix the issue.
    If not you may have a look at the bugs mentioned in the script and perhaps even contact people that took part in the discussions.

    OK any of those 3 alternatives worked for me. Perhaps consider making one of them the default? My mac is fairly new and up to date and the current one, at least, doesn't seem to work here...cheers!
