#1246 Squirrel 3.7 Never Launches (Hangs)

I wanted to upgrade to the latest version of Squirrel and ran the installer for version 3.7 on my Windows 7 machine. It installed OK, but when I try to launch it I get the splash screen, the progress bar goes about half way across and then it essentially hangs in that state for good (it's stuck on the loading JDBC driver and alias information step). I don't see any logs in the Squirrel install directory to poke through so I have no clue what it's doing. I'm using Java 1.7. Any thoughts on this?
