No

Copying multiple rows (Select All -> Copy or Ctrl-A Ctrl-C) where the data in one of the columns has line breaks (\n). When pasted into notepad or excel, line breaks are replaced with /n (forward slash)

works fine when copying/pasting a single cell with line breaks

Very inconvenient :(

    I use DB2 and it doesn't matter whether I select one or multiple rows.

    Here the exact result with Line Feed (Unix-Windows-Difference?)

    Test:
    SELECT 'First Line' || x'0D0A' || 'second Line' FROM sysibm.sysdummy1;

    x'0D0A'
    => Line Break and /n
    x'0A'
    => no Line Break and /n
    x'0D'
    => Line Break and no /n but instead of all other Versions it won't be marked with "greenblue" color in SquirreL

    The OP should have changed under "File/Global Preferences" in the tab "Data Type Controls" the settings "Show newlines as \n within cells" (for CLOBs separate from CHARs).

    Please note: the settings description really is using "\n", but the cells show "/n"

    @Claus made an interesting observation; on Oracle I get the same:
    select 'abc1' || chr(13) || chr(10) ||'def' from dual
    union all
    select 'abc2' || chr(10) ||'def' from dual
    union all
    select 'abc3' || chr(13) ||'def' from dual

    gives:

    abc1
    /ndef
    abc2/ndef
    abc3
    def

    Only the first 2 cells are highlighted.
    IMO it basically does what the setting says (except the slash issue). Maybe if the description is changed to "Show newlines (0x0d) as /n within cells" it would be a bit clearer? (The lowercase "d" is better readable than the uppercase version.)

    The /n was replaced by \n according to the labels in the preferences dialog.
