I couldn't reproduce this using my version of the Z2 Task (in Sq 2.50.09.08.06), so it sounds like it might be something either within your version of the Task, or else in the version of Sq2 you're using, or maybe a combination of the two. If you email me your version of the Z2 Task, I'll have a quick look at it and see how I go. Geoscience Australia users had similar problems with PD files early on (in Windows) when trying to use Microsoft products (Notepad, WordPad, etc.). But those problems disappeared once we switched to TextPad. I use NoteTab on a PC, and BBEdit on a Mac. I have never had the problem of the files not being recognised by Squid. Hi Mike, Thanks for alerting us to the Sourceforge problem. Since about Wednesday of this week Sourceforge changed its website in order to test a new and ‘improved’ system for downloading software. However, for the SQUID2 OSS project this turned out to be a downgrade as the green DOWNLOAD button now points to a previous version of the software. To download the newest version of the software either click on the ‘View all files’ button and select squid2-v2.50_r13.zip or select the same file from under the ‘Project Feed’ heading. I have notified Sourceforge support of our problem and hopefully it will be fixed shortly. To join the SQUID2 user group, go to the SQUID2 site, click on Support, then squid2-user and fill in your details. http://sourceforge.net/projects/squid2/ Cheers, Andrew Cross ________________________________ From: WINGATE, Michael [mailto:Mic...@dm...] Sent: Thursday, 2 July 2009 6:46 PM To: Cross Andrew Cc: Bodorkos Simon; KIRKLAND, Chris; Ian Robert Fletcher; Allen Kennedy Subject: RE: SQUID2 Open Source Software release [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED] Hi again Andrew This time I was able to download the latest version 'r13'? The Sourceforge web page has a big green DOWNLOAD button which, unfortunately, is NOT linked to the latest version. My problem arose because GSWA IT security would not allow me to download the files myself. Instead, they did it for me, and got the 'r6' version from the green button. Is there a reason for the button being linked to an earlier version? Subject: SQUID2 Open Source Software release [SEC=UNCLASSIFIED] Dear SHRIMPers, Geoscience Australia is pleased to announce that SQUID2.50 has been released as Open Source Software (OSS) and is freely available to all on the Sourceforge website. Details of the SQUID2 release into the OSS environment, system requirements and installation instructions are included in the attached document (SQUID2_OSSProject_InstallationGuide.pdf). To use SQUID-2.50 you must install the latest version of Isoplot (isoplot3nx.xla) which is also available on the Sourceforge website. Removing previous versions of SQUID, SQUID2 and Isoplot and installing the latest versions from Sourceforge can be a complicated process and we strongly recommend that you carefully read the ‘SQUID2 installation Guide’ on page 7 of the attached document. The latest version of SQUID-2 is available on Sourceforge at: http://sourceforge.net/projects/squid2/ The latest version of Isoplot is available on Sourceforge at: http://sourceforge.net/projects/isoplot/ We urge all SQUID2 users to read the attached document (SQUID2_OSSProject_InstallationGuide.pdf) for more information regarding our OSS project. Importantly, we encourage that users sign up to the SQUID2 mailing list to receive news of SQUID2 developments and notification of new SQUID2 releases. You can sign up to the SQUID2 mailing list by going to the SQUID2 Sourceforge website (http://sourceforge.net/projects/squid2/ ), click on Public → Mailing Lists → Subscribe/Unsubscribe/Preferences and fill in you details. GA has established SQUID-2 as an Open Source Software project with the aim to encourage community involvement in its future development. We therefore welcome your input and participation in all aspects of the SQUID2 OSS project. Please forward this e-mail onto colleagues in your work group and others you think will be interested.
