I've developed some ideas. Due to differences in SQL syntaxes on different servers, and to make implementation of non-SQL-servers possible, sqNET will support its own simple query language. Possible name could be "sqQUERY". It will be based on a -hopefully- sophisticated parser.
Just have a look at the SVN repository.
I've posted a first draft in the docs section, just containing some first ideas. I will write a first proof of concept for basic mode (see draft) this week.
Some lines of code are already online using SVN. I wrote these lines to get started. These lines could become part of a prototype one day, but that's not for sure. Just have a look.
If you have any comments, ideas etc. please feel free to let me know.
This project is intended to make any .NET and/or MONO developer life easier.
During this week, I will upload some ideas of how the ambitious goal of creating an all-purpose, easy-to-implement, object oriented and reflection-based, but still performing database abstraction layer can be reached.
Any assistance, new ideas etc. are highly appreciated!
