I have a question regardin the update of records in table and sub tables.
I'm writing a web form, which is not hard-coded but is constructed from
of the tables. I have a class with several multiple joins, which can
have in turn more
multiple joins. From this tables I display elements with names
coresponding to path to
some entry, i.e.:
where Store is the name of the main table, isle1 is the name of the
linked to the Isle1 table, shelve1 is the name of another MultipleJoin
column, linked to
the Shelve1 table and itemNo is the name of the attribute in the Shelve1
table, which I
wish to update. Upon reading the structure of the web I get the name, in
``path'' to the atribute is given, and value.
Is there any easy way to update a record let's say:
s = Store.selectby(storeID = 1)
s.isle1.shelve1.itemNo = value
(all tables are created) or do I have to write my own set function.
I would realy appreciate any help.
