[SQLObject] PickleCol?

At the risk that this gets overly ZOPE-DB-ish for you guys...

In my current project, there is a sub-aggregate of objects that needs
to be stored in the dbms, BUT, that I don't plan to use in queries and
that I'm happy with retrieving all at once together with the object
that contains it.  

So to simplify the dbms schema and to drastically cut down on remote
dbms access round trips, I thought of storing it as a pickle...

So what do you think of a PickleCol?
