[SQLObject] SQLObject 1.0.0 problem with Py 2.4

Just noticed that SQLObject 1.0.0 does not work with Py 2.4 any more 
which also breaks Py 2.4 compatibility for TurboGears 1.

Can somebody look into this and either release a bugfix or declare Py 
2.4 as officially unsupported?
