I personally feel that the more prominent the wiki is made, the more likely random people will start contributing hints, suggestions, recipes, and documentation.  So, no, I don't think it is enough...I personally (and humbly) think it needs to be linked from the main page. 

Take me for example....I've literally spent hours and hours and hours on our website, and I never noticed it.  :)
