There is a syntax error in sqlobject/col.py", lines 289 & 476
These lines uses the old python2 syntax for raising an exception, which doesn't work with python 3. Simple fix: just remove the comma after ValueError.

What version of SQLObject are you using? I.e., to what branch should I commit the fix? Currently I maintain branches 1.5, 1.6, 1.7 and the trunk.

PS. Are you really using SO with Python 3+? What version of FormEncode are you using? AFAIK it was not ported to Py3.

    SQLObject 3.0 supports Python 3.4+!
