i am wondering if i can use delphi 7 personal edition with your software. http://www.borland.com/delphi/pdf/del7_feamatrix.pdf
It seems delphi 7 personal doesnt add any support for databases or drivers for the personal edition. Can i use an sqlite database with your sqlite for delphi software listed here on sourceforge? I made a tool for sqlite using tcl/tk and visual tcl that is at j_m_mc.tripod.com and i want to improve it and add features but am on a small budget because i am disabled (brain disorder). I will NOT charge for any software i create. I am doing this for fun and maybe a line on my resume if it turns out nice in the future.
thanks for any input,
jim

if sqlite for delphi does work with delphi 7 personal how does one address the problem of a db control grid? it probably isnt included as a component because there is no support for any other db.
thank you,
jim

I think there is no way to use data-aware controls with personal version of Delphi in the same way as in pro + version. Yes it is possible (I'm afraid not with SQLite4Delphi) but rather complicated. Some bigger sets have different version for prersonal Delphi... Please try INDY - maybe it can help you. Mabe I'm wrong and it is possible?

...corrected the wording a bit.
i just read in terms of units and revenue delphi 7 outsold any other other previous version. it sounds like decent news for the delphi community.
