FYI I'm pretty sure the leak is perl related. I didn't have one, in either sqlgrey or postgresql, until upgrading from Debian sarge to etch. I believe this left the postgresql version unchanged at 7.4, and the sqlgrey was unchanged. That leaves the problem on perl's doorstep, most likely.
