Yes, in fact I've had a working install of 1.7.6 for some time.  The problem is when I get here...

If youve downloaded SQLGrey from sourceforge please unpack it and ‘cd’ into the directory and run the following commands:

make
sudo make install
--

The "sudo make install" fails as I described.
