My logs show quite a lot of these messages:
Jan 24 18:25:46 hostname postfix/smtpd[6778]: [ID 947731 mail.warning] warning: problem talking to server 127.0.0.1:2501: No such file or directory
Jan 24 18:25:45 hostname postfix/smtpd[6123]: [ID 947731 mail.warning] warning: timeout on 127.0.0.1:2501 while reading input attribute name
and
Jan 24 17:57:53 hostname postfix/smtpd[23742]: [ID 947731 mail.warning] warning: connect to 127.0.0.1:2501: Connection timed out
But sqlgrey is up and running and produces normal log entries like as well
Jan 24 18:29:56 hostip sqlgrey: grey: new: a.b.c.d(a.b.c.d), test@local -> test2@local.test
Seems like the daemon doesn't answer fast enough or not at all - any ideas or fixes?

Could you compare the timestamps in the Postfix logs and SQLgrey's logs to check that the average processing is quick enough (should be far less than one second per mail)?
