#1 distribution split

Would it be possible to split the distribution, so that
the graphics packages are in a separate module?
It would be better for using the module in those
machines devoted to server usage only, where graphics
packages are not installed nor needed.
Thanks

These modules are under 'recommends', not 'requires'. While the graphics modules are installed regardless of whether you need them, they aren't loaded/usable without their prerequisite modules -- I imagine you are talking about the GraphViz Producer module, for example.

Personally I think this is a good idea, but at the same time, it may reduce the usability of sqlfairy. So this warrants some further discussion. I will see what the people on the mailing list think, and failing any objections, begin work on moving the module into its own package.

I'm now looking into doing this, for maintainability reasons, really. I'm going to keep close contact with other groups (especially the Debian-perl group, of which I am a developer) to make sure it's a good idea.
