Is it possible to change the keywords the product uses. Currently it is putting in "Full Outer Join" which MySQL find objectionable. I change it to "Join" but then the program says that " Query Changed. Fix it? . if I say yes then it changes it back to "Full Outer Join"

Difficult to give an answer without seeing the global sql query ...
