I rushed to this feature only to find it is a different feature than
I originally thought. Export to CSV, not CVS. A feature I
would definitely be interested in seeing (and that is sorely
lacking in Query Analyzer) is integration with some kind of
version control. I am still surprised that MS hasn't added
SourceSafe integration to QA. Seeing as VSS is crud and
we're in a CVS environment, perhaps integration with CVS
would be more appropriate?
Motive: as a production DBA I have a standard set of
maintenance and alerting sql scripts/utilities that I deploy
across 50+ instances - keeping track of the versions
deployed, controlling bug fixes & feature enhancements etc.
cries out for some version controlled sql script library
functionality.
