I just entered a new client and project. I want to enter two invoices for that client but the name does not display in the drop-down list in the AR->Add transaction page. What have I missed? Check that your "start date" in your customer profile is not forward dated or the customer won't start showing up in the list until that date. Also check the pricegroup and salesperson. Paul, I can see all other clients, but not the new one. The project number and project name show up in the AR display, but I cannot select the proper client. Any odd characters in the name, like a quote, slash, colon, bracket,
etc?
There used to be some bugs around that. Dieter pretty much got
them all cleaned up some while back, but maybe you managed to find
one still there. :)

Rich, If the date of the invoice is before the start date for the client, the client will not be listed as a choice. Verify that the start date for the client is earlier than any invoicing. This has happened to me when I have a start date for the client that's after the invoice date. Sounds like an error in the code to me, I should be able to have a new salesman, client or customer walk in, do a deal and finalise with an invoice or purchase order. If the code wants me to at least wait a day, that sounds wrong. Any idea to see as bug and have Dieter fix this? Workaround is to enter all new customers per 1/1 of running year, and have first invoice date as start of actual relationship. It actually does make sense for some of the reporting features and the workaround is easy enough, just go into the customer properties and set the start date as far back as you need.
