LaTeX selection followup

It is not well documented, but the file sql-ledger.conf changed.

(I figured it out 10 mins after sending the mail to the list.)

Hrmmmm, I'll have to try some convolutions like latex2rtf, then import .rtf     
into Abiword, then output .latex.  Or import the html, and output the .latex.

It shouldn't MATTER  what generates the .tex output.  But with .tex
my page formatting stays the same for paper output.  Netscape print is
different then mozilla, hence the search for a format that stays the same,
like LaTeX.

I made it clear in my announcement that the config file needs to be
changed.

Installation:
over top, no changes to the tables are required at this time

copy sql-ledger.conf.default to sql-ledger.conf

If you have modified sql-ledger.conf merge the changes from the default
file rather than copying over top.

I noticed that some of the info in the announcement was not mentioned in
the Readme as well (like LaTeX requirements). I assume it is not required
to read *both* readme and announcement when doing an install/upgrade?

As a sidenote - I had problems reading the pdf file (xpdf doesn't like
type 3 fonts) so I switched to using dvipdfm (instead of the gs dvipdf).
It generates smaller pdf files that renders nicer. It seems to generate
quicker as well :-)

NB: Debian users need the package tetex-extra.

database connection difficulty

hi there,

i'm still at the proof of concept stage.  i have successfully setup SL 
to work on my debian woody workstation - but now i need it to run on my 
co-located server which runs slackware.

i have created a new DB from a template and created a user.

however - when i try to connect i get the following message.



Database Error: PQconnectPoll() -- connect() failed: Connection refused

in the browser,

sorry i can't find any other log messages - this is a slackware distro 
and i can't find my way around it as easily as debian,
