[SL] Checkboxes on orders, etc.

Hello

Our company had stopped using SL back on 2.6.8.  I recently decided to 
revive our old installation and old data, and performed an upgrade to 
2.8.10.

I noticed that on orders and invoices now, there are new checkboxes on 
line items.

What is the purpose of these?

Check these boxes and click "Update" and you can enter item notes and
other information along with each line of invoice.
