If you haven't already shutdown your computer or browser, just hit the back button until you get to the correct version of the invoice then post it. > -----Original Message----- > From: sql...@li... Will that not overwrite the newly posted invoice? el on 3/10/07 12:32 AM Craig Isdahl said the following: > If you haven't already shutdown your computer or browser, just hit the back > button until you get to the correct version of the invoice then post it. |

We'll I'm no SL expert but if they did a "post as new" it created a new invoice w/ a new invoice number. Assuming they are able to go "back" in the browser to the original unmodified invoice they could repost it, re-creating the original and leaving the new one. Is my logic flawed? > -----Original Message----- > From: sql...@li... Doesn't SL do this with an transaction ID, so that you can have two invoices with the same invoice number if you want? In other words, would it not overwrite the new one? Never mind, if this happens to you, it does teach you, to conentrate :-)-O el on 3/10/07 1:52 PM Craig Isdahl said the following: > We'll I'm no SL expert but if they did a "post as new" it created a > new invoice w/ a new invoice number. Simple: Use the back browser button to get to the invoice then edit it to match the original invoice (that was overwritten) "post as new" That way way the 'original' gets posted as a new invoice The one that was "posted" instead of "posted as new" gets left alone. Have you try looking into Postgres' point-in-time recovery? I believe Postgres by default turn on transaction logging so you may just want to look into this topic for sure. Typically, that's done by restoring the last full backup, and then start rolling forward the logs since the last full backup until the point just prior to the invoice was deleted. So just one invoice? Interesting...could you just recreate the invoice with the paperwork or info. that you may have? > Simple: > > Use the back browser button to get to the invoice then edit it to match > the original invoice (that was overwritten) "post as new" > > That way way the 'original' gets posted as a new invoice > > The one that was "posted" instead of "posted as new" gets left alone. > > Jeff > > > Dr Eberhard Lisse wrote: >> Doesn't SL do this with an transaction ID, so that you can have two >> invoices with the same invoice number if you want?
