A private installation can be setup without root access. No changes to any other configuration files are needed. Of course you must have perl, DBI and DBD-(Pg|Oracle) installed and either Postgres or Oracle running or at least have access to a SQL server. 1. Unpack SQL-Ledger in your home directory 2. setup one user in postgres If your name has already been added or if you use the postgres superuser you can forget this step 3. load the webserver (cd dnhttpd/exec; ./dnhttpd.pl) 4. load your browser 5. connect to http://localhost:8000/admin.pl 6. setup a company (Database Administration -> Create Dataset) 7. setup a user (Add User) log in or connect to http://localhost:8000/login.pl and log in.
