Has anyone come up with a method to track partial sales orders and or partial receipts - Here's a quick example of what I mean... We order 1200 of some part... maybe even a blanket order to complicate things a little further (that is say 100 per month for 12 months...) How do we know without manual tracking when the order has been filled.... I do not see a space on the invoice to track "Order Qty", "This Shipment Qty", "Total Shipped Qty" I have the same case for inventory receipts. Frequently we have 20-25 items on a purchase order. When they come in, the orders are usually not complete - maybe some line items are missing completely, or shipped in less than order qty. How can I track if a PO is complete?? Right now I have clipboards stuck to the wall and its a totally manual process and getting out of hand quickly! Lastly, Isn't it more normal NOT to re-order line items on a PO or SALES ORDER i.e. remove the ORDER BY clause? generally speaking should a PO contract (being a legal document) not be able to change from its original printing?
