Since this discussion runs and runs, I may as well add my ha'p'orth.  I 
didn't miss any of it, and I must say I agree with Rod and Will: While it is 
"close to a non-issue", surely we are grown up enough to work out how to 
reply to the list.  If necessary the welcome message could just state

> This way other members know if the issues been resolved or not.

Then it is really hardly a matter of principle whether replies go in two 
copies to the person being replied to - on the whole, It is not a bad idea as 
Will explained.

Why not leave things as they are.
