Yes, the simple way is to add an expense account (Sales Discount) and check the 'Deposit' box under 'Receivables'. Now when you add a payment, you enter the amount the customer paid you in your bank / cash account and add another payment with the difference using the 'Sales Discount' account. You can apply the same for vendor discounts, but you add a 'Purchase Discount' account in the income section instead and flag it as a payment account.
