Large numbers of Customers

I'm preparing to evaluate SQL-Ledger as a replacement to the accounting
package my wife is using at her office.  I just looked at one of the
demo systems.  I'm curious about how well it scales up to larger
customer databases.  Is there anyone using SQL-Ledger with > 5000
customers?  It seems like the customer selection in the Invoice entry
screen would be unwieldy with more than a few hundred customers.
