What kind of operating sytem are you using? Look for a file called hosts That file is the place to put name to IP number mappings including localhost Localhost is usually set to 127.0.0.0 which is a fake IP address that justs routes back to your machine There are other things that could be causing this error such as: have you installed a web server and is it running? have you set up your machine for TCP/IP networking?
