Thanks for the response. Picking up you points here are my answers

 1-  PostgreSQL is running well and I can access sql-ledger files
through pgaccess (thanks to your -i flag positionning tip)
 2 - Pg driver seems to be correctly installed (When I first install
DBI-Pg I had an error message, but after removing the DBI- component
that type of error has dissapeared)
 3 - see 1
 4 - I have been following installation instructions since version 1.2.9
but I have not been successful (only since version 1.4.5 that I can have
been able to get a login and admin screens. Infact I have posted my
problems several times, and inspite of good intentions of trying to help
me, none of these have been successful in solving my problem)
 5 - I have been following this mailing list for quite a while now and
try to read every tip for on installation but no success
 6 - I will send my last error messages tonight
