[SL] Once an item is added, the income account cannot be changed.

Hello I had posted this in the message board on the site about 3 weeks
ago and no response; not sure if this is more active or not.

So I will ask here:

I have a number of items that when I entered into sql ledger, I picked
the wrong income account. When going back to editing these items, I do
not see all of my income accounts even though I know they exist. I know
this because I see them in the Chart of Accounts and when I add a new
item I get the full list.

Is this a bug or is it like that for a reason? 

I can simply delete and re-add the item with the correct income account
but I am wondering if this will affect any reports or previous invoices
I made with that item. I would be keeping everything exactly alike
except the income account. Would this be ok?
