Any odd characters in the name, like a quote, slash, colon, bracket,  
etc?
    There used to be some bugs around that.  Dieter pretty much got  
them all cleaned up some while back, but maybe you managed to find  
one still there.  :)

    I've shut the tab and will try again tomorrow morning when I log  
back in
to the workstation.

    I've added clients and projects before now and have always been  
able to
add an AR transaction right away. It makes no sense to me that this  
one list
isn't updated.
