I had a look at Virtualbox when I was building SL virtual appliance. I
remember I could not access virtual machine with NAT. May be I did not
spend enough time. I shall give it try again (esp. when 2.0 is out
with new features)

On a side note, I am planning to develop a new virtual appliance using
some Linux flavor (not everybody is comfortable with FreeBSD).

Which will be the preferred Linux distro on virtual machine for you?
