[SL] MOVE SERVER WHIT DIFFERENT VERSION OF POSTGRESQL

I am working now in local server with the version 2.8.14 and
PostgreSQl 7.4.19 and want to do a backup  and restore it in a vps
when i have PostgreSQL 8.1 or 8.3 I am not very sure still and the
same SQL-Ledger's version. I think to do a support with pg_dump
(pg_dump-Fc) in the local server and one pg_restore in the new server,
what problem exists with the change of PostgreSQL's versions that
could fall ill in SQL-Ledger ?
