The step-by-step I'm thinking of had a couple things to watch out for when restoring to a server that had SL already installed. Something about removing the existing DB, (or maybe just the tables?) and tweaking the database user(s). Don't remember now. :/ It wasn't anything earthshaking but probably easier than figuring out the little gotchas on the fly.
