The restore is all postgresql, nothing to do with SL per se. (The backup is just a dump of the entire contents of the sql database). So as long as you've got the same (or newer) version of SL installed just restore the database and enjoy! I'm pretty sure I saw a step-by-step somebody posted in the list/ forums awhile back but not seeing it at the moment.
