[SL] Every Customer is customer #1

Just wondering... I have a client that is just starting with SL and adding a
Huge number of customers first... however for some reason EVERY customer is
customer #1 ????
 
I even edited on of them to update to customer 12, but when you go back...
they are still number one??
 
Any thoughts?
