I'm not clear on the questions.  Are asking for a consultant to help
you get setup, or are asking can SL handle a service based business?

Some consultant are listed on sql-ledger.org and yes services are handled.

SL will run under many OS's, however the migration is non-trivial.

This would be something that would be worth hiring a knowledgeable
consultant for.  SL is powerful and flexible, but it doesn't do
everything.
