CUPS has a web-interface which runs on port 631 - i.e. you can access  
it via http://localhost:631/ (by default it is only accessible from  
the local machines, not the network).

Do the invoices show up under the "Jobs" tab of that webpage?
I believe they should show as "Name: (stdin)" "User: apache".
