[SL] searching for customers

I have a business looking to move to SL, everything is looking good, and
sorry I know this must have been asked once before...  However...

In just about every accounting app in the customer feild once you start
typing the customer name it creates a short list of the client...  Can
SL be setup to do this?

e.g.   A client comes in to purchace bottled water, clerk asks clients
name, client replies Johnston, clerk types in Joh and notices on the
short list that two names are female, and client is male, so client must
be Berry or Dave, clerk asks for the first name, and all is well.
Interesting enough in other apps it would also list all users with first
name John.
