Sorry if it sounds like a dumb question but one must dot all the i's as they 
say...

have you set

$latex = 1;

in sql-ledger.conf?

Following that, is there anything interesting is the apache error logs? If you 
run "latex -version" what does it give you?

I know little about latex itself, but these steps will be the first to take in 
working out why it's not working for you, and might help others come up with 
some suggestions.
