On 6.0:

$ pkg_info -L "teTeX-texmf*" | grep scrartcl.cls
/usr/local/share/texmf-dist/tex/latex/koma-script/scrartcl.cls
$

I guess you don't have the print/teTex-texmf package installed?

Make sure latex works outside SL first.
